2 pixel perfection
There is a way to see whether a person is attentive when completing a web design. Sometimes miracle lays in minor details, which may not be easily discovered. When I say “pixel perfection”, it means perfection even in lines, edges and borders. Instead of simply applying one line, it may seem better by putting a bit more detail. It can be slight radiation, or a 1 pixel width thin line, (to highlight shadow or bright light). With these details, your design can create great impact. Expert designers in this field are Collis Ta’eed, David Leggett and Wolfgang Bartelme。

Case study: Envato
In the following example, there is a brighter green line surrounding the green block of content. In example 2, there is radian shadow outlines inside the block, also a 1 pixel width white outline at the edge. It is a smart way to highlight the bright light with the shadow. And the refresh green area has a very soft and micro shadow effect, which helps attract attention to the white block underneath.

Even though it is not an all-in-one method to enhance a elegant design, they do help to create a sense of 3D feel, which is like the diamond on the ring, and no longer a stale piece of paper.
